Spring has Sprung

Hello and Happy Spring,

It's lovely to be heading towards the spring weather, the bulbs are blooming and there's still some blossom left on the trees. Mark and Brad have been heads down in all sorts of weather to finish the pruning, racing to finish the last few rows before budburst and now the first leaves are out looking bright and promising. Apart from the cabernet - it likes a sleep-in!

We’ve quietly celebrated the 10 year anniversary of the opening of our tractor shed as a Cellar Door. Can you believe that?

There’s been a few projects on the go. One of them was the degustation wine dinner at Shu Restaurant. A modern Sichuan interpretation of mushrooms over 5 courses, including dessert! Paired with our wines of course. It was so much fun that we’ll look for other collaborations in the Big Smoke.

Lochonia begins!

We were super excited to start on our first block at Lochonia. (That's the name Mark gave the paddocks 800m up the road.) We've nestled these rows close to the boundary on the south paddock. For those of you who like figures, there's 33 rows, each 135m long, using approximately 26km of wire. The team from TJAgri did a fabulous job - their first vineyard but not the last! We're now up to planting - 33 rows worth of Pinot Noir here we come!

Speaking of Pinot

The 2023 Single Vineyard Pinot Noir finally hit the shelves. If you are a pinot lover, you'll be shouting hooray - just like Jane! It's light, fruity and the colour... oh my.  Available at the Cellar Door and online.
We don't often tell you when a Pinot Noir hits the shelves, but they are moving so quickly we don't want the Pinot Lovers (Jane's Tribe) to miss out.
There's still some of the fabulous 2018 Museum Pinot Noir to be had.

Something for the wall

Matt's Back
