What a couple of months!
There are two things we love the most about GWC - our wine and sharing our wine - and over the past little bit we have received kudos for both of these. Understandably we are pretty chuffed!
The Gippsland Wine Show was held in October and we received 3 medals for wines we submitted: Bronze for the 2023 Viognier and 2022 Loch Cabernet Sauvignon and gold for 2023 Loch Chardonnay. Jane has a soft spot for the home block wines and she might still be smiling about the results.
The Chardonnay went on to win the Best Chardonnay in Show and then the top gong, The Best Wine in Show!
Our Chardonnay now has automatic entry into the Premier’s Trophy next year where it will strut its stuff against every other Best in Show wine across Victoria.
If you’ve tried our 2022 LV Chardonnay from last year, you know it’s a cracker- just wait till this one is released!
In the background we had become a finalist in the Victorian Tourism Awards in the category of Tourism Wineries, Distilleries & Breweries. This was our first time entering these awards, so making finalist status was a pretty big thing.
We frocked up & turned up to the awards night and brought home the silver!
So now it’s back on with the boots and back to work. There’s plenty of wine to pour and a summer of visitors waiting to share it.
